the couple

I first met Abby several years ago at a football game in a small town called Phil Campbell, AL. My first thought when I spoke to her was, 'I think I just become best friends with a girl I've never even met.' That's just Abby. She's one that draws you in with her sweet, southern accent. She greets those around her with open-arms and goes above & beyond for those she carries close in her heart. I have always thought of Abby like a sister rather than a friend. She's one of those friends that you can go weeks without talking, but pick right back up where you left off. When I met Emitt , I couldn't help but admire the way he loves Abby. Though I have only known Emitt for a short amount of time, one thing that I can say is that he is gentle & charismatic. He admires & treats Abby with the utmost respect & love for who she is. He proudly calls her his and to me, that is everything that a friend could ever wish for, for one of her best friends.

The two were first introduced to one another by Emitt's little sister, Emmy and her friend, Audrey.

It sounds like these two girls were scouting for Emitt's future wife, and well.. it paid off. Well done, Emmy & Audrey.

"I knew Abby was the one because our love grew so deep. I love her just as God commanded us to in Ephesians 5:25. I would do anything for her, and want to be there for in any way."

-Emitt

When asked what Abby loves most about Emitt, she said:

"His patience. I can sometimes be a lot to handle, but he never fails to do everything I ask with a smile."

-Abby

"My first impression of Abby was how beautiful she was. I definitely out kicked my coverage."

-Emitt

"We had the best first date fishing! We had the best conversations, and I immediately knew he was something special, (and on top of that, tall & handsome)."

-Abby

I asked Abby what she was most excited about in marriage.

"I am most excited about getting to experience everyday with each other & knowing I will always have my person, no matter what."

-Abby

I first want to start by expressing how happy I am for the two of you. I know that the Lord has had His hand on every step throughout your relationship. I have been fortunate to witness how the two of you center your relationship around the Lord and how you both continue to keep Christ as your foundation. I pray that the Lord continues to bless you both as individuals & as a married couple. As I am writing this post, I am reminded of Numbers 6:24. My prayer to the both of you as you enter into this covenant is simply this verse.

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His face upon you & give you peace." - Numbers 6:24-26

May the Lord continue to bless you both as you prepare to enter this covenant.   Seek God first and always, always, always pray for and with each other.

With love,

Hanna
